I recently had the opportunity to photograph two local bands – The Ghost Dinner Band and The Romano Project. I was fortunate enough to be helping Anthony and his crew over at Dark White Media with another live music video shoot a couple of weeks ago at Gemstones & The Blue Shamrock in Lowell, MA. If you haven’t checked out either of those bands, I’d highly recommend doing so. The night opened up with an hour of music by DJ Icculus, who also happens to both DJ and play sax for The Romano Project. Hands down one of the best DJ’s I’ve heard in a while. He’s got a SoundCloud and a Mixcloud with some of his tracks on there. Definitely head over and have a listen. Both of the bands put on a great show and pulled out all of the stops for the video. In between filming the bands, I took the opportunity to grab some stills. I love shooting live concert photography and don’t get to do it as often as I’d like. Know someone who’s looking for some live concert photography? Send them my way. I’d love to chat! Here are some of the shots I got.
Stay tuned because I’ve also got some photos from Claire’s Valentine’s Day mini session and our Super Bowl party photo booth photos coming to the blog over the next couple of days. You won’t want to miss them! Follow my Facebook page to find out when those posts are live.
I’ve also been thinking about starting a weekly video tip/tutorial blog series. I know there are a lot of photographers out there that are starting to venture into the world of video. There are also those of you who are just out shooting some video for fun – maybe with a phone, point and shoot camera or DSLR. I’m curious as to how many people would be interested in some tips to improve your videos and what you would be interested in learning about. Comment below with your suggestions.
